Flexible Barrier Function

When the temperature within agarmentis low, the Diaplex membrane responds to reduce permeability and prevent air and water molecules from passing through it. This helps to retain body temperature. As the temperature inside the garment rises, however, Micro-Brownian motion increases membrane permeability, causing water vapor to be expelled to the outside air. This “flexible barrier function” enables the garment to intelligently adjust its insulating properties in response to temperature change assuring optimum comfort under any possibleenvironment.
